Fidelity Bank, one of the prominent commercial banks in Nigeria, operates in a highly regulated industry where financial reporting quality is paramount for maintaining investor confidence and ensuring long-term financial stability. Statement of the Problem

1. What is the quality of financial reporting at Fidelity Bank in Bauchi State?

3. What strategies can Fidelity Bank implement to improve the quality of its financial reporting and enhance shareholder value?

Research Hypotheses

1. There is a significant positive relationship between financial reporting quality and shareholder value at Fidelity Bank in Bauchi State.

2. Poor financial reporting quality negatively affects shareholder value at Fidelity Bank.

3. Improving financial reporting quality will enhance shareholder value at Fidelity Bank in Bauchi State.

Scope and Limitations of the Study

The study will focus on Fidelity Bank’s financial reporting practices in Bauchi State and its impact on shareholder value. Limitations include the potential difficulty in accessing detailed financial records and the influence of external factors, such as market conditions and regulatory changes, that may affect shareholder value.
